![]() ![]() If you have a smaller living room with side walls and are looking for heavy BASS without adding rear speakers, the JBL 5.1 system that is currently $300 at Costco is a better bet. If you're looking for value, this is the best available. Literally impossible to find an Atmos 5.1.2 setup with wireless rears for anywhere near that price. Just bought the snc75 on ebay for $269 w/ free shipping, and the sk8-s rear speakers from B&H for $106. So.if you are looking for a very good sound bar, you don't want to break the bank.and you want stuff to just work.the LG SNC75 worked perfectly for me. I switched back and forth from the HomePods to the LG Sound bar, and you could absolutely tell the difference. The sound from movies (I tested Ford v Ferrari, The latest James Bond Movie, a couple of Marvel movies) sounded terrific to me. ![]() I love my house.and I like watching TV Shows and movies. That just a bar and a woofer is not enough. I know.the "sound guys" will tell you that a Sound bar really can't do ATMOS. It worked! I tested with movies from Disney plus.and the sound bar told me it was passing ATMOS. It arrived yesterday.ġ5 minutes later.and it was working! I plugged my AppleTV4k into the sound bar, and then the sound bar into my ARC HDMI port on the TV. I pulled the trigger.and ordered it online. I just wanted something that sounded good.worked with my tech stack.and didn't leave me wanting for something.like Atmos or another standard. I'm not trying to recreate the sound at an AMC Theatre. If that was the case, it looks like it did everything that I needed.Īgain.I'm not an audiophile. Of course, I had to try and figure out what that model was similar to. I finally stumbled upon the Costco LG SNC75. Or only works with EARC (our TV doesn't support it). I would get discouraged because I would find something that I *thought* I liked, and then you find out it doesn't pass thru something. What works with an Apple TV 4K (new model now). It was too easy to fall into the trap of looking at all the bells and whistles. So three months ago I got the itch to look at a sound bar again. We were fairly happy with the sound, but eventually found that dialogue from the shows we watched were hard to hear. aha! So I set it up, and it worked! No issues. I eventually found that I could replace my sound bar with two Apple HomePods and get advanced Dolby sound. What the hell?ĭigging into sound for the first time is confusing. It worked great.until we went to play a newer movie with advanced sound. We did away with our Tivo and cable.and moved to an AppleTV 4k (old version) and YoutubeTV. So I went back to Costco, and bought a sound bar. We were using a TIVO with cable.and were were happy with the picture.īut the sound. It was nowhere close to the high end.but it was very nice for us, and it had everything we thought we wanted. Not ideal for surround sound speakers.Ī couple of years ago we upgraded an old tv to a TCL 65R613 from Costco. The sitting area.doesn't have any electrical outlets in the floor.so cables would have to go across walking areas. It's a fairly big open room, with open access to the kitchen and the dining room table. The location: I have a weird living room. But I have to say how happy I am with the LG SNC75! ![]()
